Installing the Extension

The HubCreate Connector Chrome extension lets HubCreate import and deploy Dashboards, Reports, and Lead Scores using your active HubSpot browser session. This guide covers installation, verification, and keeping the extension up to date.

Requirements

  • Google Chrome (version 116 or later) — the extension uses Manifest V3 APIs
  • A HubCreate account — sign up at the HubCreate web dashboard if you have not already
  • At least one connected HubSpot portal — connect portals from HubCreate before using the extension
  • HubSpot access — you must be logged in to HubSpot at app.hubspot.com (or your regional hublet such as app-na1.hubspot.com or app-eu1.hubspot.com)

Step 1 — Install the Extension

  1. Open the Chrome Web Store listing for HubCreate Connector (or search for “HubCreate Connector”).
  2. Click Add to Chrome.
  3. In the confirmation dialog, review the requested permissions and click Add extension.

The extension requires the following permissions:

Permission Why It Is Needed
cookies Reads HubSpot session cookies so API calls run as the logged-in user on the correct portal
storage Stores lightweight extension state (for example, last-known portal context)
tabs Detects which HubSpot regional app host you have open
HubSpot host permissions Executes import and deploy requests against HubSpot on your behalf

After installation, the HubCreate icon appears in your Chrome toolbar. If you do not see it, click the puzzle-piece icon and pin HubCreate Connector.

Step 2 — Verify on HubCreate

  1. Log in to HubSpot in Chrome and keep a tab open on the portal you want to work with.
  2. In HubCreate, open Import Assets or start a new deployment.
  3. On the asset selection or review step, confirm the extension status shows as connected (or that Dashboards, Reports, and Lead Scores become available).

You can also click the HubCreate Connector icon in the toolbar to open the popup and confirm your HubSpot session status and portal ID.

Supported HubSpot Domains

The extension works with HubSpot application domains:

Domain Region
app.hubspot.comDefault
app-na1.hubspot.comNorth America
app-eu1.hubspot.comEurope

Updating the Extension

Chrome auto-updates extensions in the background. To force an immediate update:

  1. Go to chrome://extensions
  2. Enable Developer mode (toggle in the top-right corner)
  3. Click Update in the top-left corner

After an update, refresh any open HubCreate tabs so the latest connector version is used.

Uninstalling

Right-click the HubCreate Connector icon and select Remove from Chrome. Your HubCreate account, connected portals, and imported assets are unaffected — they live on the server and remain available in the web dashboard.
