Extension Overview

HubCreate Connector is a lightweight Chrome extension that bridges the HubCreate web app and your HubSpot browser session. Most asset types use HubSpot’s public OAuth APIs. Dashboards, Reports, and Lead Scores require the connector because they are accessed through HubSpot’s internal APIs while you are logged in.

What the Extension Does

• Confirms you are logged into the correct HubSpot portal
• Uses your HubSpot session cookies and CSRF tokens to run import and deploy requests
• Rewrites API calls to the correct HubSpot regional host (hublet)

When You Need It

Install and keep the extension enabled whenever you want to:

• Import Dashboards, Reports, or Lead Scores from a connected portal
• Deploy Dashboards, Reports, or Lead Scores to a target portal

Workflows, forms, lists, emails, pipelines, landing pages, custom objects, HubDB tables, and other OAuth-backed types do not require the extension.

Extension vs. HubCreate Dashboard

• Use the HubCreate web app to select assets, map properties, review deployments, and manage your library
• Use the extension only as the secure bridge for Dashboards, Reports, and Lead Scores — there is no separate HubSpot sidebar UI
• Click the toolbar icon to check HubSpot login status and portal ID before you import or deploy

Best Practices

• Stay logged into HubSpot in Chrome (a tab for the specific target portal is optional)
• Confirm the portal ID in the extension popup matches the account selected in HubCreate
• Use Google Chrome — other browsers are not supported
